Afropopcity was created as a response to the lack of nightlife spaces for Afrobeat and HipHop lovers. We are a Limerick based music event planning and promotion organisation and we believe in creating a space for everyone. Founded in 2018 by Anthony Onaloye aka DJ Southside & Co-Founder Mamobo Ogoro, our mission is to create a community for afrobeat, hip-hop and rap lovers across Ireland.
Our vision is to be Ireland's largest Afrobeat event planners and promoters. We organise, promote and showcase the latest Afrobeat Music, Hip-hop Music and Afro-Irish Music and artists in our monthly events that cater to our diverse community.

Anthony Onaloye aka DJ Southside
Anthony Onaloye aka DJ Southside is the founder of Afropopcity. He is a DJ and Event Promoter with over 10 years experience working in the entertainment industry. He is passionate about creating a space for Afrobeat and HipHop lovers in the Midwest and created Afropopcity in 2018 by hosting small community based events. Anthony is the music, community and operations lead of Afropopcity. Anthony's vision for Afropopcity is for it to be the leading Afrobeat and Hip-Hop Music Events Based Company in Ireland.
